Martin envisions a terrorist plan for a massive cyber-attack across Europe by sabotaging engine-management systems of vehicles. It's a classic FUD sales pitch for trusted computing. :)
He actually just said "having talked about all the fear, uncertainty and doubt I'm now going to talk about how to protect yourself" and into the HP pitch. :)
Actually it was a really good talk -- raising lots of important issues regarding privacy, security, etc... especially in a social networking context. Difficult issues we need to come to terms with socially on a global basis.

He just said "nobody's job is safe in this new world" (meaning Web 2.0). Thanks for the positivism, Martin.

Great stuff. Let's hope they get some of the cool stuff out of labs to the market.

He is painting a pretty dystopian view of the future -- actually the present. I'm really depressed now.

Just saw Die Hard 4.0. Perhaps the HP guy had been inspired by this movie?
